Our Ladies Banquet is currently being planned for the first Friday night in December, the 1st. This gives us one month to prepare. The sign up sheets are available and the plans are in the works.

Sarah's Corner - "And Sarah laughed"

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean house.
3. To help us out of there when were getting born.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Although this is a delicate subject, the headlines of recent events compel us to address this issue and come to an understanding not only about the immorality of the behavior but how it could reach even the local church pulpits.

A local church that is Baptist in doctrine and unaffiliated with any national denomination. We have been worshiping the Lord since our forming in 1988. Some of our members have fellowshiped in this and a previous church for over 50 years. We are families who have come together to try to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. We support 3 missionaries and try to help as many as we can while pursuing our prime directive as a church to teach the gospel and train followers of Christ. We welcome the utilization of the best translations of the Bible (we are not KJV-only) by each individual believer since each believer has the right to choose for himself in the freedom with which Christ has given.

The Music of Heaven, sung by Pastor Greg Chandler and church pianist extraordinaire Lisa Heald is now available. Pastor Greg and Lisa have recorded some favorite songs as we anticipate our eternal home in heaven. What a day of rejoicing that will be!

We also have church cookbooks available with our favorite recipes from the great cooks of our church. If you're a Baptist church it's in the Statement of Faith that you have to have a lot of potlucks, and therefore you have great cooks.
