The Freedom Baptist Church is an unaffiliated, independent Baptist church located in Colorado Springs, CO. The church’s pastor is Greg A. Chandler, a 1978 graduate of the Independent Baptist College in Dallas, TX (school now located in Fort Worth). Greg is a bi-vocational pastor who works full-time at another job while administering the church. The church is primarily Baptist in doctrine and practice but independent in its function. We belong to no group or association of churches under any name. We enjoy fellowship with like-minded believers as we meet them in our community and around the world. The purpose of this church is to meet together to honor and glorify God in fulfilling its Biblical mission of: worshiping God in Spirit and in truth; encouraging one another in genuine fellowship; teaching the Scriptures in depth; and sharing the gospel with people that the members of the church come in contact. We seek to fulfill our purpose with grace, relevance, and authenticity in full adherence to the principles of the Word of God. Small churches can have an impact on the community and the world by living authentically in agreement with the infallible Word of God. It is our prayer that if the Lord directs your spiritual journey to come into contact with us that you will come to know the Lord in a deeper way because the Freedom Baptist Church was there. At the very least, we hope to do you no harm in your journey. Pastor Greg Chandler

The Book of Revelation: beginning in Chapter 4
4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.
The messages to the Seven Churches changes dramatically. This change is connected to the messages to the churches in that the churches can look forward to the trumpet call of the Lord to declare that the church age will one day come to an end and the Lord will call them to “come up here.” From “the things which are,” the Lord now reveals to John “the things which must be hereafter.”The church exists today to prepare itself for the future. What the church does today will be what the church will do for eternity before the Lord: worship Him. The church has no higher call than to worship as this chapter will declare.

The Mystery and the Ministry
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God; According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Scripture Reading
That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed unto His death; Not as though I had already attained it, or were already perfect; but this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:10, 13-14
