A Joyful Farewell
The letter closes with the astounding idea that we are to rejoice no matter what the circumstances and to give God glory regardless of our poverty or our abundance. How can Paul ask us to do this, when we are hurting so bad? Because even in those dark days, as Paul stood in the house in which he was jailed and chained to a Roman soldier, and as he hugged Epaphroditus and they said a tearful good-bye, he knew that God had believers even inside the Roman government.

- Pentecostal: 10. One to change the bulb, and nine to pray against the spirit of darkness.

- The youth group has raised almost $500 for drug abuse.
- "Correction: The following typo appeared in our last bulletin: 'Lunch will be gin at 12:15.' Please correct to read '12 noon.' "
- Any church member over the age of 18 is invited to participate in this lay ministry program. It requires a minimal amount of training and time. The orientation will include six weekly classes of about 200 hours each Tuesday night.
- The Seniors group will have a picnic Saturday. Each person is asked to bring a friend, a vegetable, or dessert in a covered dish. Meat and drinks will be furnished.
- The last day of Vacation Bible School will include a field trip to the state game farm. We could use some additional volunteers to help preparing the lunch of sandwiches, potato chips, cheese, crack, and cool aid that morning.
- Remember the youth department rummage sale for Summer Camp. We have a Gents three-speed bicycle, also two ladies for sale, in good running order.

Today is the first Sunday for our new times of services. Our Sunday School now begins at 9am and the morning Worship Service is at 10am. We hope this change will be something we all enjoy. When we meet to worship the Lord is not as important as the fact of our worship and the quality of our worship. Let us lift our voices in praise to God and humbly bow our spirits before Him as we adapt to our new schedule and continue to seek His will.
We hope you are enjoying the CD of Easter music. We want to complete our next CD by the Fourth of July and include some patriotic songs, old favorites and new songs. These CD’s are being done to preserve the music of our church and for the benefit of our members and friends since we have better technology today to produce them than we had in the past.

You should have received a letter from me regarding our church future. If you did not get one let me know. We ask that you be in prayer regarding the information in the letter. In a few weeks we will meet for an informal discussion time; we will then have another time or prayer before we formally confirm as a church our plan of action.
We will move our times of services up 30 minutes beginning next Sunday April 15th. We will meet for Sunday School at 9am to 9:45am, have a 15 minute break, and then have our church service from 10am to appx. 11am. We will be doing this to provide a different schedule for the summer and to avoid the noise that we have been experiencing. This is a change that hopefully we will all enjoy; we can re-evaluate the schedule after the summer is over and determine if we want to keep it or return to the old.

In a few weeks we will meet for an informal discussion time; we will then have another time or prayer before we formally confirm as a church our plan of action.
We will move our times of services up 30 minutes beginning the Sunday after Easter, April 15th. We will meet for Sunday School at 9am to 9:45am, have a 15 minute break, and then have our church service from 10am to approximately 11am. We will be doing this to provide a different schedule for the summer and to avoid the noise that we have been experiencing. This is a change that hopefully we will all enjoy; we can re-evaluate the schedule after the summer is over and determine if we want to keep it or return to the old. We will be sending out reminder letters of this change prior to April 15th.
