Church Items
The prayer requests and prayer chain are on the back of the bulletin for your prayerful consideration. How to use the prayer chain is also listed on the back.
We have added 2 names to the prayer chain. Anyone else that may want to be added just let us know.
We would like to have some staple food items here at the church that we can put into a box for any needy that come by. We would only keep one box on hand and when it is given out we will replenish it.
Easter is March 23rd this year. We will begin our Easter worship songs next week.
FYI - Greg and Ruth meet with the young people one evening a week for discussion.
Greg and Ruth will be gone Sunday April 13th for a trip to Alaska, Lord willing.
We had a great anniversary service last week. We took a nice picture of all who attended. We can make it available to you if you want a copy.
Updated church histories are available.

Thunderstorm Prayer: An airliner flew into a violent thunderstorm and was soon swaying and bumping around the sky. One very nervous lady happened to be sitting next to a clergyman and turned to him. "Can't you do something?" she demanded angrily. "I'm sorry ma'am," the Reverend said gently, "I'm in sales, not management."
Today’s Sunday School Lesson
New Testament Postcards - I John 4:19-21, We love because He first loved us. The source of all love is God; we love because He loved us and saved us and placed His love in us. Love is found in the person of God; not that we love God and are therefore perfected, but that we abide in God and know Him and thus experience His love by experiencing Him. This is the way we know what love is and are able to share it with others. Love is not an emotion or a thing; it is a person. Our love for God originated in God’s love for us. There is no perfection outside of abiding in the Perfect One.
Today’s Sermon
I Corinthians 15:1-11, The Gospel and the Resurrection. Paul came to them preaching “good news” that they all believed. It was what they currently continued to believe firmly. They were declining in faith on many moral issues and this naturally led them to question the belief that first led them to the faith. The gospel saved them and sustained their daily lives. To reject the resurrection was to deny the gospel and make faith empty and meaningless, “in vain,” that is, “without cause, without success.” They were beginning to “fall” rather than “stand.” The many problems they had that were delineated by Paul were bringing them to a crisis of confidence in their faith. It is inevitable that failure after failure in many little things will lead to a big failure, like water eroding soft rock over time.
