The Sarah Corner – “And Sarah laughed”
To Protect and Serve: My partner and I were in our police car when we were dispatched to break up a domestic dispute. We spoke with the couple, and the problem was quickly resolved. On leaving, I was admiring the craftsmanship of their turn-of-the-century home and reached for what I thought was the front door. Realizing my mistake, I was turning away in embarrassment when I heard my partner say, "If you have any more problems, we'll be in your closet."

Today’s Sunday School Lesson
The Life of Elisha: II Kings 2-3 – Beginning his ministry

He remedied the evil by casting salt into the water at its source, in the name of Jehovah. Leaving Jericho he went to Bethel and upon nearing was met by a number of children who mockingly cried, “Go up, thou baldhead.” This dishonor to God through his prophet was sternly rebuked by Elisha, and “two she-bears came out of the woods and tore 42 of them.

Scripture Reading
Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. He leads in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment.
