Zen Sarcasms
  • The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a leaky tire.
  • Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
  • Always remember that you're unique. Just like everyone else.
  • Never test the depth of the water with both feet.
  • If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.
  • Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
  • If at first you don't succeed...... skydiving is not for you.

Today’s Sermon
From Corinth to Colorado Springs: Reforming the Carnal Church
Acts 18: I Corinthians 1:1-9 Exposition of I Corinthians
Paul traveled from Athens to Corinth during his second missionary journey and ministered to the city there for 18 months. During that time a church was formed that became the example of worldly and compromising Christianity for all time. In reality the church at Corinth was not all that different from the church in Colorado Springs. A beautiful place where people were wealthy and prosperous forms a fertile breeding ground for unhealthy Christianity.

Scripture Reading
Psalm 86:9-12
All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; and shall glorify Thy name. For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone. Teach me Thy way, O LORD; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name. I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
