A Visit From Big Sis!

We enjoyed having Greg's sister and brother in law, Barbara and David Lingo in our services this past Sunday. David and Barbara were professors at the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO until 2011. David recently retired from the pastorate at Berean Baptist Church in Bolivar, MO. They took some time to visit with Greg and Ruth. Barb and I lost our Mom last Christmas day and that was the last time I saw Barb  so it was good to see them again. She also played the piano for us in Lisa's absence and she played for me as I sang "Til the Storm Passes Over," an oldtime favorite. We took them up Pikes Peak, went fishing at Skaguay Reservoir above Victor, and visited the Bible Through History exhibit at Glen Eyrie. We also ate....a lot. Thank you, Barb and Dave, for your faithfulness in serving the Lord for so many years.
We will have a potluck fellowship this Sunday night at 5:30pm and we will bring the church folks up to date on how everything is going at the church. Things are going well but it's time to give some reports so that we are all informed on the state of the church.
