FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH - April 1, 2007

FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH
April 1, 2007
Palm Sunday

"And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, shouted, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest."

Prayers and Praises for 2007

Be in prayer for: our missionaries, Marshall Craig, Larry Morgan, and Ed Potter; our church for this year; Joy, medical; Mike Rogers, medical (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma); Ben Campeau, recovery; Dan Campeau, recovery; Carolyn’s aunt, ill; Ruth’s Dad, surgery recuperation; Carol’s neighbor Eleanor, family; Lynn, unspoken and James, ill; Praise that Matt Campeau got a new job immediately; Praise for promotion for Jeremiah Tucker, prayer for Jennifer and girls coming for the summer; Leon’s brother in law, illness, and safe traveling for family.

You should have received a letter from me regarding our church future. If you did not get one let me know. We ask that you be in prayer regarding the information in the letter. In a few weeks we will meet for an informal discussion time; we will then have another time or prayer before we formally confirm as a church our plan of action.

We will move our times of services up 30 minutes beginning the Sunday after Easter, April 15th. We will meet for Sunday School at 9am to 9:45am, have a 15 minute break, and then have our church service from 10am to approximately 11am. We will be doing this to provide a different schedule for the summer and to avoid the noise that we have been experiencing. This is a change that hopefully we will all enjoy; we can re-evaluate the schedule after the summer is over and determine if we want to keep it or return to the old. We will be sending out reminder letters of this change prior to April 15th.

Scripture Reading

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. John 20:19-20
