Today’s Sunday School Lesson
The Book of Jude: Contending Earnestly for the Faith
Directions for Contending: vs. 17-25, Remember Your Instructions; vs. 17-19
Jude advises them to remember the teachings of the apostles regarding those who would mock the truth. Paul did this in major portions of his writings. Peter had said the same thing in II Peter 3:3. When a teacher starts to make light of the teachings on the return of Christ an alarm ought to go off.

The Truth Shall Set You Free

Today’s Sermon
Ephesians 1:15-23, Paul’s Prayer for Us
Verses 15-23 are all one sentence. The ideas flow together in one outburst of love and concern, not just for the Ephesian church, but for all believers of all time. We are contained in this prayer. The blessings Paul prays are ours already and can be realized more fully through knowing God as personally and intimately as possible. This prayer reveals how well Paul knew God and God new Paul.

Fairest Lord Jesus p. 88
Scripture Reading
I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. Father, glorify Thy name. Then there came a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 86:12; John 12:28; Romans 15:6
We Will Glorify p. 472
